Deputy Nazir Ahmad (Molvi Nazir Ahmad) is an educator, reformer, and Urdu writer. He penned a number of books and novels. His books Mirat Ul Uroos and Tauba Tun Nasooh made him renowned.
Deputy Nazir had faith in the Urdu female writer. He was a strong supporter of women's education. As a result, Deputy Nazir Ahmed Novels are centred on women's problems.
In recognition of his service, the Indian government bestowed the title of 'Shams al Ulama' on him in 1897. The University of Edinburgh bestowed upon him an honours degree in LLD in 1902. In 1910, Punjab University was also granted a DOL degree.
He is regarded as the Urdu language's first novelist. Molvi Nazir himself penned books for his daughters' education. He referenced novels and books in his writing.
